These competitions opened the summer season of petanque competitions in Ukraine. The tournament was dedicated to the memory of Volodymyr Hvozdy, a city activist and co-founder of the petanque club "Mukachevo", who founded the club on his birthday - March 27. This year also marked the 12th anniversary of the creation of the Mukachevo petanque club. The tournament was held with the support of the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Mukachiv City Council. The tournament was contested over two days: tête-à-tête in the first and doublets in the second. Both days were held according to the Swiss selection system in four rounds. In the tete-a-tete discipline, the first places were taken by Yuriy Shiplyak (Petanque Club "Pershiy Zakarpatskyi"), Peter Gillade (Petanque Club "Uzhgorod") and Veronika Homenyuk (Petanque Club "Koshovy"). Yevhen Agosta (petanque club "Uzhgorod"), Vasyl Lar (petanque club "Chellena Suva") and Tetiana Hermanyuk (petanque club "Koshovy") won in group "B". On the second day of the tournament, in the discipline of doubles, Vasyl Aksyom (petanque club "Mukachevo") and Peter Gillade (petanque club "Uzhgorod"), Yuriy Shiplyak (petanque club "Pershiy Zakarpatskyi") and Yaro Helyas, as well as Tetiana won Stets (petanque club "Chellena Suva") and Veronika Khomenyuk (petanque club "Koshovy") and Vlasta Vysochanska and Ihor Sekhin (petanque club "Uzhgorod").
