This year, for the first time in the history of the competition, the Ukrainian team will also take part. Our country will be represented by the women's triplet consisting of Lilia Lytvyn ("Koshovy"), Veronika Khomenyuk ("Koshovy") and Elena Kolodiy ("Uzhhorod"). As the players told us, they are carrying with them the flag of Ukraine, signed by the pétanque players who are now defending our country from the aggressor country. They will present this flag to Bernard Oruzet, president of the Quebec province pétanque federation and vice-president of the Pan American pétanque federation. By the way, Canadian organizers and athletes actively support Ukraine, especially after the start of a full-scale invasion.The entire petanque community of Ukraine believes in the successful performance of our girls and wishes them victory.
